CO2 is produced, waste it out releases it

High energy, NAD+ gains
An electron and become NADH
Five-carbon A-ketoglutarate
Lose a CO2, a new NADH made

Coenzyme A grabbed up, unstable
And how many carbons we got? We got four
succinyl CoA enzyme used toward
New oxidation, energy transformed

That synthetase removes the CoA
Produce a GTP with add of a phosphate
So GTP and ATP, they’re similar, not the same thing
Depending on the cell, G may convert to ATP

And now that CoA gone, clears away
Molecule rearranged becomes a succinate
Dehydrate with succinate dehydrogenase helps reduce
An FAD move to an FADH2

And now we looking at a fumarate, hydrate
By fumarase enzyme to make malate
It’s rearranged, dehydrogenase
Back to the OG oxaloacetate

That’s one full cycle one time
But remember that glucose was split in two
The next 3-carbon in line
The other pyruvate still got to go on through
